The world's most popular video sharing application TikTok has announced that it will soon introduce a new monetization 'series feature' on the platform, which will allow content creators to earn money from their videos.
Until now there are very limited features available on Tik Tok, through which users can earn money, but now it has been announced to introduce a new feature on the application in a big way.
A TikTok blog post stated that the 'Series Feature' will be officially rolled out in the next few months, which will allow content creators to earn money directly from their exclusive videos.
According to the platform, under the said feature, users will not give a share of earnings to Tik Tok, however, they will have to pay a fee to the application administrator to use the feature.
It is not clear yet how much Tik Tok will have to pay to use the said feature and it is also not clear if the said fee will be given once or will be charged monthly?
However, the application management said that users will be given access to the 'series feature' only for a fee.
What is 'Series Feature' and how will it work?
According to TikTok, under this feature, each content creator will collect their exclusive videos together under a 'series', which they will make available to others for a fee or money.
In a series, a user will be able to upload up to 80 videos and each video will be a maximum of 20 minutes in duration, but users can upload videos of shorter duration, Antamia said.
Users will be allowed to create more than one series and will be able to name each series as per their choice and charge a fee as per their choice for accessing them.
